Electrical Load Idle-Up Solenoid

This procedure is necessary only if solenoid is replaced or engine runs roughly when system is operating.
1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Connect tachometer to engine.
3. Ground (L) terminal of solenoid with jumper wire. Do not ground (YG) terminal.
4. With all accessories off, ensure that engine speed is 900-950 RPM on vehicles equipped with manual transaxle, or 1050-1100 RPM on vehicles equipped with automatic transaxle.
5. If engine speed is not within specifications, turn valve adjusting screw to obtain correct speed.
