1. Warm engine to normal operating temperature and run at idle.
2. Connect tachometer to engine.
3. Disconnect power steering switch electrical connector and ground connector with jumper wire.
4. With all accessories off, ensure engine speed is 1000-1100 RPM on vehicles equipped with manual transaxle, or 1150-1250 RPM on vehicles equipped with automatic transaxle.
5. If engine speed is not within specifications, turn valve adjusting screw to obtain correct speed.
