DESCRIPTION

Listed below are the coil spring compressors currently recommended for use on Mazda vehicles along with their application.

Failure to follow the applications in this service bulletin or the Workshop Manual could result in the spring compressor slipping off of the spring, causing damage to the components.

49G0 30 640: This compressor is to be used for 626 FWD front springs only.

4902 23 640B compressor arm supersedes 4902 23 640A and is to be used on all coil springs except 626 FWD front springs.

CAUTION:
The 4902 23 640A spring compressor is not to be used on late model springs. This compressor was not designed for the wider coiled springs and could slip off if used on them.
