Air Injection Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

No. 1 Air Control Valve

1. Remove No. 1 air control valve and connect a hand vacuum pump to the valve.
2. Blow air into port A and ensure air does not flow from port B, Fig. 6.
3. Apply 15.7 inches Hg vacuum to valve, then ensure air will flow from port A through port B.



No. 2 Air Control Valve

1. Remove No. 2 air control valve and connect a hand vacuum pump to the valve.
2. While gradually applying vacuum to valve, ensure stem starts to move at 1.97 inches Hg and stops at 3.54 inches Hg.
