1. Disconnect electrical connector at intake air temperature sensor, the intercooler must be removed to gain access to the connector.
2. Connect a 3.5k ohm resistor to terminals of sensor connector Fig. 19.

3. Connect tachometer to engine.
4. Start engine and ensure engine speed is as in Fig. 29.

5. Proceed as follows:
a. Stop engine and connect voltmeter to pressure regulator control solenoid valve Fig. 30.
b. Start engine and ensure voltmeter indicates less than 2 volts for 50 seconds after engine is started, then rises to approximately 12 volts.
