DESCRIPTION

If you encounter a 1988 626/MX-6 with a piston slap noise during warm-up when the engine is cold, this may be due to excessive ignition timing advance.

Should you encounter this complaint, replace the vacuum set with the modified one listed below.

NOTE:
This noise is similar to engine knocking noise but is heard only when the engine is cold. (Engine knocking noise is heard when the engine is hot.)
