Throttle Full Close Switch: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 29 Idle Switch Inspection:

1. Disconnect 1 pin idle switch connector Fig. 29.
2. Check continuity between switch and ground. There should be continuity with throttle valve fully closed and there should be no continuity with throttle valve open.
3. If continuity is not as described, check condition of wiring harness of switch. Replace idle switch and throttle body as an assembly, if necessary.
