Ignition System: Locations

System Components:

DISTRIBUTOR, CAP AND ROTOR
Located on left front end of cylinder head.

IGNITION COIL
Located on left side of engine compartment near the airflow meter.

KNOCK CONTROL UNIT
Located on right side of engine compartment forward of the strut tower.

KNOCK SENSOR
Located on the back side of the cylinder block below intake manifold assembly.

PICK-UP COIL WITH IGNITER
Located in the distributor assembly.

IGNITION WIRES
Routed between coil, spark plugs and distributor cap.

SPARK PLUGS
One per cylinder on top of the cylinder head between the camshafts.

TEST CONNECTOR
Located in left rear corner of engine compartment near battery.
