Removal/Installation

Fig. 2 Engine Replacement:

1. Release fuel system pressure, refer to Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service and Repair.
2. Disconnect battery cable.
3. Drain engine oil, transaxle oil and coolant into suitable containers.
4. Remove engine in numbered sequence, Fig. 2, noting the following:
a. Remove A/C compressor with pressure lines attached. Position aside.
b. Remove power steering pump with lines attached. Position aside.
5. Reverse procedure to install, torquing all bolts/nuts to specifications.
