Refer to Figs. 3 and 5, when performing this procedure.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then drain cooling system.
2. Remove heater hoses from core tubes.
3. Remove instrument panel, refer to Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Panel/Service and Repair.
4. Remove floor cover under heater unit.
5. Disconnect electrical connectors, then clamps.
6. Remove heater unit mounting bolts and bracket.
7. Remove heater unit.
8. Separate heater unit halves, then remove heater core.
9. Reverse procedure to install.
