Control Valve Body

1. Remove cruise control actuator and battery.
2. Remove air cleaner, then drain transmission fluid and approximately two quarts of engine coolant.
3. Disconnect high tension leads from distributor and upper radiator hose.
4. Disconnect oil cooler hose from transaxle, then remove electrical fan.
5. Remove control valve body cover and gasket.
6. Remove solenoid connector from transaxle case and control valve mounting bolts.
7. Remove throttle cable from throttle cam.
8. Remove control valve body from transaxle.
9. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Shift into ``R'' and place manual plate in correct position of manual valve.
b. Ensure manual plate and manual valve are assembled correctly, Fig. 4.
c. Torque control valve body bolt to 95-130 inch lbs.
