Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Throttle Sensor Terminal Identification:

1. Disconnect the throttle sensor connector from the throttle sensor, and connect an ohmmeter between terminals "A" and "D". The resistance should be 3.5k - 6.5k Ohms.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "B" and "D".

Resistance Check While Opening Throttle:

3. Gradually open the throttle valve while checking the resistance. With the throttle valve fully closed, the resistance should be below approx. 1 KOhm. With the throttle valve fully open, the resistance should be approx. 3.5k - 6.5k Ohms.
4. If not within specifications, check the throttle sensor adjustment.
