Throttle Full Close Switch: Adjustments

Throttle Sensor Terminal Identification:

1. Disconnect the throttle sensor connector from the throttle sensor.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "C" and "D".

Continuity Check:

3. Check for continuity between terminals with a feeler gauge inserted between the throttle stop screw and throttle valve lever. With a 0.5 mm (0.02 in) gauge inserted, there should be continuity between the terminals. With a 0.7 mm (0.028 in) gauge inserted, there should be no continuity between the terminals.

Throttle Sensor:

4. If not within specifications, loosen the screws and rotate the throttle sensor to adjust.
5. Tighten the screws and seal them with white paint. After checking and adjusting the sensor, connect the throttle sensor connector.
6. After checking and adjusting the sensor, connect the throttle sensor connector.
