Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Remove the air cleaner cover.
2. Remove the rubber boot from the connector.

Testing Intake Air Thermosensor:





3. Heat the intake air thermosensor, and observe the temperature.
4. Check the resistance of the sensor with an ohmmeter.

INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE (KOHMS)

-20°C (-4°F) 14.6-17.8
20°C (68°F) 2.3-2.7
80°C (176°F) 0.2-0.4

4. If not as specified, replace the intake air thermosensor.
5. Connect the intake air thermosensor connector.
