Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

If not, check wiring for open or short to ground.

3. Turn ignition "OFF" and re-connect carb electrical connector.

4. Turn ignition back "ON" and then "OFF" again, while listening to the slow fuel cut solenoid.

^ Solenoid should click each time the ignition is turned "ON" or "OFF".

If not, replace solenoid.

5. Start engine and let idle.

6. Disconnect carb electrical connector.

^ Engine should die.

If not, check solenoid valve for proper installation. If valve needle and spring are not missing, replace solenoid.
