1. On turbo models, proceed as follows:
a. Use an ohmmeter to measure the actuator clutch solenoid resistance as shown in Fig. 11.
b. Disconnect actuator connector, and use an ohmmeter to check continuity at the terminals of the connector as shown in Fig. 12.
c. Connect terminals to a 12 volt power source and ground as shown in Fig. 13. If control cable does not respond as shown, replace actuator.
2. On non-turbo models, use an ohmmeter to measure the actuator clutch solenoid resistance as shown in Fig. 14.
