Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect the intake air thermosensor connector and remove sensor from engine.

Intake Air Thermosensor (Engine) Inspection:

2. Connect an ohmmeter to the sensor terminals.
3. Check the resistance of the sensor, using a heat lamp to gradually warm the sensor.

TEMPERATURE RESISTANCE (KOHMS)

25°C (77°F) 29-37
85°C (185°F) 3.1-3.9

4. If not as specified, replace the intake air thermosensor.
