Voltage Signal: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove the oil pressure switch.

Testing Oil Pressure Switch:

2. Connect an ohmmeter to the switch and add the air pressure as shown in the figure.
3. Below 49 kPa (0.5 kg/sq cm; 7.1 psi) there should be continuity through the switch. Above 290 kPa (3.0 kg/sq cm; 4.3 psi) there should be no continuity through the switch.
4. Replace the switch, if necessary.
5. Install the oil pressure switch and connect the connector.
