The left and right speed sensors are not interchangeable. Sensors are stamped with a L or R.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Disconnect sensor connector, then the sensor harness bracket from body, Fig. 78.
4. Remove sensor harness from clip, then from splash shield.
5. Remove sensor bracket from knuckle, then the sensor.
6. Install sensor to knuckle, then torque to 12-17 ft. lbs.
7. Install sensor harness bracket to knuckle, then torque to 12-17 ft. lbs, Fig. 79.
8. Push sensor harness through splash shield, then secure with clip.
9. Install sensor harness to body, then torque to 12-17 ft. lbs.
10. Ensure harness is not twisted and does not contact body or shock absorber when steering wheel is turned.
11. Connect sensor connector, then install tire and wheel.
