Fig. 85 Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Retaining Bolt Locations:

The left and right speed sensors are not interchangeable. Sensors are stamped with a L or R.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Disconnect sensor connector, then the sensor harness bracket from body, Fig. 85.
4. Remove body grommet, then feed sensor harness through body.
5. Remove sensor harness bracket from knuckle, then the sensor from knuckle
6. Install sensor to knuckle, then torque to 12-17 ft. lbs.
7. Feed sensor harness through body, then install grommet.
8. Install sensor harness to body, then torque to 8-9 ft. lbs.
9. Ensure harness is not twisted and does not contact body or shock absorber when steering wheel is turned.
10. Connect sensor connector, then install tire and wheel.
