Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

FRONT

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm attaching bolts, then the wiper arms, Fig. 7.
3. Remove cowl plate attaching screws. Move front side of cowl plate up and disconnect washer hose from nozzle, if necessary, then remove the cowl plate.
4. Disconnect electrical connector from motor.
5. Remove wiper motor attaching bolts and the wiper motor.
6. Reverse procedure to install.

REAR

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm, then open rear hatch.
3. Remove upper, side and lower hatch trim, then the rear hatch screen.
4. Disconnect wiper motor electrical connector, Fig. 8.
5. Remove wiper motor attaching bolts, then the wiper motor.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
