In Dynamic Chamber

Intake Air Thermosensor Testing:






1. Disconnect thermosensor connector.
2. Check resistance across sensor terminals.
3. Check that resistance corresponds to these values:

K OHMS AIR TEMP.

37.3 - 45.6 20°C / 68°F
10.5 - 12.9 50°C / 122°F
3.1 - 3.8 85°C / 185°F

4. As an alternate method, remove sensor and place in a container of water with a thermometer.
5. Connect an ohmmeter across sensor terminals and slowly heat water.
6. Check that resistance varies according to the table above.
7. If not as specified, replace sensor and torque to 61 - 78 inlb (6.9 - 8.8 Nm).
