Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

Throttle Sensor:

1. Disconnect throttle sensor connector.
2. Connect an ohmmeter across terminals "C" and "D."
3. Loosen sensor mounting screws.

Idle Switch Testing:

4. Insert a 0.004 in (0.1 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stopper screw and throttle valve lever. Turn sensor until ohmmeter indicates continuity.
5. Replace gauge with a 0.012 in (0.3 mm) gauge and check that continuity does not exist.
6. After adjustment, tighten screws and replace electrical connector.
