To help maintain optimum EGR system operation, two ECU controlled solenoid valves are used to regulate EGR valve operation. The valves are located in the engine compartment near the right strut tower. These are duty valves, enabling the ECU to make continuous EGR adjustments as required under a wide range of operating conditions. Inputs calculated by the ECU include:
Distributor Ne signal
Airflow meter
Throttle sensor/idle switch
Water thermosensor
EGR position sensor
