Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Sensor Replacement:

1. Disconnect the throttle sensor connector.
2. Remove the screws.
3. Remove the throttle sensor.
4. Install the throttle sensor.

Throttle Sensor Terminal Identification:

5. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "A" and "D". The resistance should be 3.5-6.5 Ohms.
6. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals "B" and "D".

Resistance Check While Opening Throttle:

7. Gradually open the throttle valve while checking the resistance. With the throttle valve fully closed, the resistance should be below approx. 1 KOhm. With the throttle valve fully open, the resistance should be approx. 3.5-6.5 KOhms.
8. Tighten the screws and seal them with white paint.
