Boost Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Turbo Boost Pressure Duty Solenoid Valve:






1. Unplug solenoid valve electrical connector.
2. Measure resistance across valve terminals. It should be 30 - 34 ohms.
3. Apply 12V and a ground across valve terminals. Verify a "click" when voltage is applied.
4. If not as specified, replace solenoid valve.

Turbo boost pressure control duty solenoid valve output duty pulse can be checked at ECU terminal 3R. With engine at idle, terminal duty pulse voltage should be below 2.0V.
