Back-Up Light And 5th Switch:

1. Disconnect back-up light and 5th switch connectors.
2. Connect an ohmmeter across switch harness terminals.
3. Verify no continuity with transmission in neutral and continuity when in 5th gear.
4. If not as specified, replace switch.

Switch input voltage can be checked at ECU terminal 1T, ignition "ON." In 5th gear, voltage should be below 2.0V. In 1st through 4th gears, voltage should be approximately 12V.
