Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Intake Air System:

1. Remove components in order shown.
2. Inspect parts and replace as needed.
3. Install in reverse order of removal. Refer to REMOVAL NOTE and INSTALLATION NOTE.

COMPONENTS

1. Resonance duct.
2. Air cleaner.
3. Air cleaner element.
4. Air flow meter.
5. Resonance chamber.
6. Air hose.
7. Accelerator cable.
8. Throttle body.
9. Dash pot.
10. ISC valve.
11. Dynamic chamber.
12. Air valve.
13. Intake manifold bracket.
14. Intake manifold.

REMOVAL NOTE

^ Some dynamic chamber mount bolts are removed by raising vehicle and working from beneath.

INSTALLATION NOTE

Intake Manifold Tightening Sequence:

^ Tighten manifold bolts in order shown.
^ Torque to 14 - 19 ftlb (19 - 25 Nm)
