EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection
EGR Valve Check:
1.
Run engine at idle.
2.
Disconnect vacuum hose at valve.
3.
Connect
vacuum pump to valve and apply
5.91 in Hg (150 mm Hg) vacuum. Verify that engine runs rough or stalls.
4.
If not as specified, replace valve if no other problems (such as clogged passages) are detected.
