No Load Test

1. Connect a tachometer to engine following manufacturing instructions.
2. Start engine and increase engine speed to 1500 RPM.
3. Voltage should increase no more than 2 volts over base voltage, with no load applied.
4. If voltage increases to proper level, refer to LOAD TEST.
5. If voltage increases to more than specified value, refer to OVER VOLTAGE TEST.
6. If voltage does not increase, refer to UNDER VOLTAGE TEST.
