EGR Valve: Service and Repair
EGR Valve Replacement:
1.
Disconnect vacuum hose, exhaust gas pipe, and unplug function sensor connector.
2.
Remove fasteners and lift off valve.
3.
Clean manifold surface.
4.
On installation, fit new gasket and tighten fasteners to
70 - 95.4 in lb (7.8 - 10.7 Nm).NOTE: If either is defective, function sensor and
EGR valve must be replaced as a unit.
