EGR Valve Position Sensor: Description and Operation
EGR System Schematic:
PURPOSE Sensor detects EGR control valve operation. Signals PCME to optimize EGR system operation through its control of the EGR vent and vacuum side solenoid valves.
LOCATION Top of EGR valve.
OPERATION Sensor is a variable resistor. PCME detects resistance changes as EGR control valve moves during operation.
