Idle Speed

PREPARATION

Diagnostic Connector:

1. Warm engine to operating temperature.
2. Turn all accessories OFF.
3. Connect SST to data link connector.
4. Connect timing light.
5. Connect tachometer to data link connector terminal IG-.
6. Set switch A to position 1. Set TEST SW to SELF-TEST.

NOTE: If SST is not used, jump across TEN and GND terminals of data link connector.

ADJUSTMENT

Adjusting Idle Speed:

1. After preparation, check idle speed.

680 - 720 rpm in P range

2. If not within specification, adjust by turning air adjusting screw.
3. Disconnect SST or remove jumper wire.
