Distributor: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION:
^ Before performing this operation, release fuel system pressure.
^ After relieving pressure, remove fuel pump relay to prevent pump operation.

1. Remove distributor and plug connector back in.
2. Connect Mazda SST, or equivalent, to PCME.
3. Turn ignition on and rotate distributor by hand. For each complete turn, voltage output should be as follows:

^ PCME Terminal 3E: Approx. 5V (6 pulses)
^ PCME Terminal 3G: Approx. 5V (1 pulse)

4. After inspection, install distributor and set timing. Refer to Adjustments.
