Removal/Installation Note

Note: Before troubleshooting, read SERVICE PRECAUTION. Service Precautions

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.





2. Disconnect the diagnostic module connector and connect the SST to it as shown in the figure.





3. Remove in the order shown in the figure.
4. Install in the reverse order of removal, referring to Installation note.

Installation note
- After servicing the air bag system, verify system operation by checking with the air bag system warning lamp.
- If the system is operating normally, the warning lamp will come on when the ignition switch is turned ON, then go oft after approximately six seconds.
- If the warning lamp remains ON or OFF, or continues flashing, it indicates a problem in the air bag system. Check the system again, referring to the troubleshooting guide.
