Mixture Control Solenoid - Slow Cut: Testing and Inspection

1. Unplug carburetor connector halves.
2. Turn ignition "ON" and check for battery voltage at harness side of carburetor connector (terminals with B/W wires). If not, check wiring for open or short to ground.
3. Turn ignition "OFF" and plug in electrical connector.
4. Turn ignition "ON" and then "OFF" again. Solenoid should click each time ignition is cycled. If not, replace solenoid.
5. Start engine and let idle.
6. Unplug carburetor electrical connector. Engine should die.
7. If not, check solenoid valve for proper installation. If valve needle and spring are not missing, replace solenoid.
