Mixture Control Solenoid: Description and Operation
Feedback Carburetor System (FBC):
^ The Mixture Control Solenoid regulates the amount of fuel added to the primary main circuit through the solenoid-controlled fuel jet. It also controls the air added to the primary slow circuit through the solenoid-controlled air-bleed.
^ The PCM controls the opening duration (duty cycle) of the solenoid valve to maintain the air/fuel mixture at the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio (14.7:1) and be suitable for prevailing driving conditions.
^ A number of input signals are used by the PCM in its calculation of mixture control solenoid duty cycle.
