Air Bag Arming and Disarming Procedures
DISARMING1. Deactivate audio anti-theft system, if equipped, then disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect air bag control module connectors, then install short circuit protectors tool No. 49 H066 004, or equivalent, on connectors. Wait at least ten minutes before performing diagnosis or service procedures.
ARMING
1. Disconnect short circuit protectors from air bag control module connectors.
2. Connector air bag control module connectors and battery ground cable.
3. Turn ignition switch to On position and ensure SRS warning lamp lights for four to eight seconds, then goes off.
