Intake Manifold: Service and Repair

Intake Air System R&R:

COMPONENTS

1. Fresh air duct
2. Air cleaner
3. Air cleaner element
4. Air flow meter
5. Resonance chamber
6. Air hose
7. Accelerator cable
8. Throttle body
9. Dashpot
10. ISC valve
11. Dynamic chamber
12. Air valve
13. Intake manifold bracket
14. Intake manifold

REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

NOTE: Release fuel pressure and drain coolant.

1. Remove components in order shown.
2. Check components and repair or replace as necessary.
3. Install in reverse order of removal.

Intake Manifold Bolt Tightening Sequence:

4. Tighten intake manifold bolts, in order shown, to 14 - 19 ft lb (19 - 25 Nm).
