Neutral Safety Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inhibitor Switch Testing:

1. Raise vehicle and support with safety stands.
2. Unplug switch connector.
3. Check continuity across terminals as described on the accompanying chart.
4. If not correct, adjust inhibitor switch and recheck. Refer to Adjustments.
5. If correct, check or adjust selector lever.
6. If correct adjustment and continuity specifications cannot be obtained, replace switch.
