Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CRANK ANGLE SENSOR

REMOVAL

1. Rotate engine to #1 cylinder TDC.
2. Unplug crank angle sensor connector and remove mounting bolt.
3. Lift unit from engine. Do not turn crankshaft while sensor is removed.

INSTALLATION
To install, reverse removal steps and observe the following:

1. Apply engine oil to O-ring and drive blade.
2. Adjust ignition timing.
3. Tighten mounting bolt to 14 - 20 ft.lb (19 - 27 Nm).
