Automatic Transmission

Throttle Sensor Adjustment:






1. Unplug sensor connector.
2. Connect ohmmeter between terminals E and IDL.
3. Loosen attaching screws.
4. Insert 0.01 in (0.25 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever.
5. Rotate sensor clockwise approximately 30 degrees, then rotate back until there is continuity.
6. Replace feeler gauge with 0.016 in (0.4 mm) gauge and verify there is no continuity.
7. If there is continuity, repeat steps 4 through 6.
8. Tighten attaching screws.

NOTE: Do not move sensor from set position when tightening screws.

9. Open throttle fully and verify resistance betwen sensor terminals E and Vt is approximately 5K ohms.
