Throttle Sensor Inspection:

1. Unplug sensor connector.
2. Connect ohmmeter between terminals E and IDL.
3. Insert 0.004 in (0.1 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever. There should be continuity.
4. Insert 0.024 in (0.6 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and stop lever. There should be no continuity.
5. Connect ohmmeter between sensor terminals Vt and E.
6. Verify that resistance increases as in a linear manner with throttle valve opening angle.
7. With throttle fully closed, resistance should be below 1K ohms.
8. With throttle fully open, resistance should be approximately 5K ohms.
