Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Adjustments

Inhibitor Switch:

1. Turn manual shaft to "N" position.
2. Loosen switch mounting bolts.

Inhibitor Switch Adjustment:

3. Remove screw on switch body and move switch so that screw hole is aligned with the small hole inside switch. Check alignment by inserting a pin of approximately 0.079 in (2.0 mm) diameter through the holes.
4. Torque mounting bolts to 43 - 61 in lb (4.9 - 6.9 Nm) and remove pin.
5. Install and tighten switch body screw.
6. Recheck continuity across connector terminals. If not correct, replace switch.
6. Install selector lever on manual shaft and torque to 22 - 29 ft lb (29 - 39 Nm).
