Throttle Full Close Switch: Description and Operation

Idle Switch:

PURPOSE
Signals the PCME whether throttle is completely closed or not.

LOCATION
On throttle body.

OPERATION
This is an "ON/OFF" switch showing continuity when throttle is fully closed and no continuity when throttle is open to any other position. The PCME uses this input in its calculations for fuel injection timing and quantity, ignition timing control, idle speed, cooling fans, and emission controls.
