Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Position Sensor:

1. Unplug sensor connector.
2. Remove attaching screws and sensor.
3. Place new sensor in position and ensure throttle is fully closed. Attach loosely with mounting screws.
4. Open throttle slightly and catch throttle body tang on sensor plastic tabs. Align tang A on throttle body with tab A on sensor. Make sure tangs on throttle body mate with tab on sensor on side of tab without a slot.
5. Rotate sensor counterclockwise until mounting holes line up and adjust.
6. Release throttle. Adjust sensor output voltage and idle switch.
