Timing Belt: Testing and Inspection
Inspect the following parts:
1.
Timing belt 2.
Tensioner pulley
3.
Timing belt auto tensioner
4.
Camshaft pulleys
5.
Crankshaft pulley
Caution: The crankshaft position sensor rotor is on the rear of the pulley, and can be damaged easily. -
Inspect the crankshaft pulley and sensor rotor for damage. Verify that the tips (arrows) are not broken, chipped, or cracked. Replace if necessary.
