Line Pressure

PREPARATION

WARNING: Before performing this procedure, release fuel pressure.
1. Start the engine.

Fuel Pump Relay Location:

2. Remove the fuel pump relay.
3. After the engine stalls, turn the ignition switch to OFF.
4. Install the fuel pump relay.


INSPECTION
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.




2. Install pressure gauge as shown.
3. Reconnect battery.




4. Connect data link connector terminals F/P and GND with jumper wire.
5. Turn ignition "ON" and check line pressure.

PRESSURE: 255 - 314 kPa (37 - 46 psi)

6. If pressure is low, check pump maximum pressure. If as specified, fuel line or filter may be clogged or restricted.
7. If pressure is high, replace pressure regulator.
