Transmission Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

NOTE: Obtain audio anti-theft access code before disconnecting battery cables.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the resonance duct, air cleaner housing assembly, battery cover, battery, and the battery carrier.
3. Disconnect the vehicle speed pulse generator connector.

4. Remove the bolt and remove the vehicle speed pulse generator.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply clean automatic transaxle fluid (ATF) to a new 0-ring and install it with the new vehicle speed pulse generator.

Tightening torque: 7.8 - 11 N.m (69 - 95 in.lb.)

2. Connect the vehicle speed pulse generator connector.
3. Install the battery carrier, battery, battery cover, air cleaner housing assembly, and the resonance duct.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
