REMOVAL
Removal Preparation
Turn crankshaft to #1 cylinder TDC and note rotor position.


Remove the following items in the order listed.
1. Resonance duct.
2. Negative battery cable
3. Distributor connectors
4. Spark plug wires.
5. Distributor assembly.

NOTE: Do not turn engine while distributor is removed.

INSTALLATION
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
1. Coat O-ring with engine oil and coupling shaft with grease.
2. Ensure that #1 cylinder is at TDC.
3. Install distributor with rotor pointing in same direction as it was during removal.
4. After installation, adjust ignition timing to 9° - 11° BTDC.
5. Tighten mounting bolt to 19 - 25 Nm (14 - 18 ft.lb.).
